Crystal, the beach that’s not a beach.

Crystal Beach is an unincorporated seaside community between Tarpon Springs and Dunedin.  There is no beach, just a mud flat, but the community pier and waterfront park is a favorite spot for locals to watch the sunsets.  Just across Gulf Drive is a delightful park of sprawling live oaks. Stepping back across Gulf Drive, there are lots of benches and rocks to relax on while you watch the moored boats bob on the Gulf of Mexico.

There’s also a 50 yard fishing pier. Across the water are Honeymoon Island State Park and three rocker sand bar, a favorite for boaters.

Hi Jack, I really like the pictures of Crystal Beach, I really forget it is even there. Think I will ask Erich to take me there just to see the beautiful trees and look at the water….Joan
